About me
Hi, I'm Amber, the face behind @ambersmagicalshoots. I am a cosplay and fantasy photographer and I shoot both on location and in my home studio in Boskoop. I have always felt very much at home in the fantasy world, game and geek culture. Storytelling, playing with light, collaborating with others and post-processing photos are a great combination for me that can all come together when creating fantasy and cosplay photos. I enjoy working with experienced and less experienced cosplayers. Coaching beginners with posing is something I really love doing.

For me, photography is not just about the outcome of a pretty picture or beautiful pose, feeling at ease is the key to the very best picture for me.

Introduction
Before we start your photo shoot I like to get acquainted. Who are you, what's your story? This can be done online via Discord, Skype or Teams or by phone. We talk about how we can make your concept a reality. This conversation is completely non-committal.

Your photo shoot
Now it's time to come up with a setting for your photo shoot. Do you want this outdoors or indoors? With props and/or animals?
For cosplay I like to make a moodboard, or you can bring one. This is very nice as a tool for nice poses that fit your character.
Setting the scene
Being in front of the camera can be quite overwhelming, especially if you don't have a lot of experience! I like to take the time to really put you at ease and guide you through poses, expression and the story we create together.
I show you the photos regularly, so we can make adjustments and you can already enjoy the results!
Would you like to bring someone along to the photo shoot? You can always bring an assistant, in fact I encourage it! Also if you feel more comfortable to bring someone along you can always do so.

After your photo shoot, I will get to work as soon as possible to put all the successful photos in your personal gallery, where you can make your own selection of the photos you would like to have edited.
Post processing is very important to me. This is where the magic happens. Depending on your wishes, I edit the photo in my magical style. If desired, I can add special effects such as (extra) smoke, color, spells and whatever else you can think of.
